Hala is a Bahraini film director based in LA and New York, whose films are a combination of modern, fun, and chic pictures. She started her career as an art curator in New York, where she ran the gallery Chiles Matar. Equally, one can find in almost every film an artistic approach and the demand for glamorous staging, from short films featuring Johnny Knoxville for Vivienne Westwood to music videos with Kristen Stewart for Interpol. She is currently working on her first feature as well as on a film for Thom Browne. Her work has been featured in Rolling Stones, Pitchfork, Vogue, NME, Spin, W Magazine, Nylon, CNN and Harpers Arabia.
